On this page you can find some of the feedback that past clients have given me.

It is important to take into account that the success of a course of psychotherapy has at least as much to do with the client’s desire for change, their willingness to face difficult issues and their hard work between sessions as it has to do with the psychotherapist, his skills and ideas.

Positive feedback is therefore largely also a reflection on the individual client’s input and not just on my talents as a psychotherapist.

„Calum was kind and caring from the very beginning. He was willing to help me apply for financial support from my insurance. He was always prepared and I felt „remembered“. I really couldn’t recommend him enough. In an emergency situation for me, he was right there. He was always fast in communicating thru email. Calum’s office felt like a safe haven, and his help and direction were invaluable to me, as an expat in Germany I was so relieved to find a native speaking therapist who was also a great support“ (Expat hairdresser, 29 years old).

„I am really suprised how the right words to the right receptive ears/situation can really spark a lot of action; none of it was cheesy bullshit, the ideas and tools worked and weren’t predisposed to outdated thinking which i’d experienced in the past.“

„I was lucky to have found a good therapist on first try – some friends have gone through several until they felt comfortable. I thought it was awesome that I was asked what I expected from a therapist, as that shows someone who really wants to listen to you. I am truly proud of what was accomplished in and out of the sessions, as I believe I have a lot more tools to apply on daily life – super important! He helped me tremendously, highly recommend.

My first therapy session was nothing like I expected. Instead of being cold or clinical, Calum put me at ease from the first minutes. I felt as if I was talking to a friend (albeit a very calming, patient and insightful friend).  Despite admitting to feelings and thoughts I had never voiced even to those closest to me, I never felt judged. I felt validated, heard and accepted.

The sessions were not full of advice and instructions as I had expected.  Calum led me to self-discovery and personal revelations. He has a keen attention to subtleties; word choice, body language, facial expressions.  And he used this awareness to ask exactly the right questions at the right to help me explore emotions and reactions.

With Calum’s guidance, I examined patterns I had held onto for years. Together, we developed strategies to approach these patterns in a different, more productive way.

I will always be thankful for Calum for helping me look at myself realistically, forgive myself for my flaws and helping me shift my perspective. The small changes added up to self-acceptance, contentedness and truly, a feeling of being free„.
