Life happens! Sometimes cancellations are necessary. But it is good for everyone, if you can cancel as far in advance as possible to give someone else a chance to use the appointment.

We can be flexible! Should you need to cancel a live session, please consider the possibility of a telephone or online session, which can usually be arranged at short notice.

Why the fuss? Very late cancellations mean that clients who would have been grateful for the appointment have to wait longer. In psychotherapeutic practices only one client can be planned for any one (usually) hour long slot so a cancellation fee of 70% of the arranged fee (which cannot be reimbursed by your health insurance company) will be charged if an appointment is not cancelled 48 hours (2 full working days) before the appointment. This means that an appointment on Monday morning at 11 am should be cancelled by Thursday morning at 11 am.

If you need to cancel at short notice e.g. over a weekend for a Monday appointment or in the evening for an appointment the next day: Please click to the online calendar and select the button „CANCEL NEXT TIME – choose any random slot“. Since I check my online calendar outwith normal office hours, I’ll tend to get the message quickly and am able to offer the appointment to others. If someone takes the appointment, you pay no cancellation fee no matter how late you cancel.

Please note: This is a work-around so it doesn’t matter which time you select or on which day. And you can add a message to your cancellation wish if you need to.
